AMY CARA

Location: Downtown Denver, CO Position: Chief Financial Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES

Amy Cara joined the Riverfront Park team when the inspiration for this great new urban community was born in 1999. She is responsible for the financial aspects of the development, including over $300 million in construction financing, land transactions, and other legal considerations. She also oversees the financial various operating entities, such as retail, brokerage, a few not-for-profits, and is involved in developing new buildings from start to finish.

BACKGROUND

Before joining East West Partners, Amy was an Audit Manager for Arthur Andersen LLP in Denver, where she worked with a variety of clients to help identify business improvement opportunities, improve profitability, and obtain equity financing in addition to performing annual financial audits.

EDUCATION

Amy obtained a bachelor of science in both Accounting and Finance at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Amy is a Riverfront Park resident, and understands personally the factors that make development in this unique urban oasis successful. She serves as President of the Central Platte Valley Metropolitan District, and as a board member of the Riverfront Park Community Foundation, PlatteForum and the Railyard Dogs, all of which are not-for-profits in the Riverfront Community, and formerly served as the Membership and Finance Chair for the Design Council at the Denver Art Museum. She is also a graduate of the Colorado Business Committee for the Arts Leadership Denver Program. In 2003, Amy was selected as one of Denvers 40 Under 40 by Denver Business Journal.

CHRISTOPHER E. FRAMPTON

Location: Downtown Denver, CO Position: Partner

RESPONSIBILITIES

Chris Frampton is the Managing Partner at Riverfront Park, East West Partners urban neighborhood in Denver, Colorado.

BACKGROUND

Chris grew up in Vail, Colorado. His first job in real estate was with Trammell Crow Residential in Charlotte, North Carolina where he worked as a development analyst in the design, construction, and management of class A apartments. From there he went on to Merrill Lynch Real Estate Investment Banking, where he was involved in transactions totaling more than $1.5 billion. He also worked for Wells Hill Partners in New York, a boutique real estate banking group. Just prior to joining East West Partners, Chris was a salesperson in Austin, Texas for IMI Resort Marketing at a community called Cimarron Hills.

EDUCATION

Chris holds a bachelor of arts in English from Davidson College (1995). He also holds a Masters of Real Estate Development from Columbia University (2002).

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Chris is the president of the Civic Center Conservancy, the group charged with restoring, vitalizing and enhancing Denvers Civic Center Park. He is also a member of the board of the LoDo District, Inc. and the Riverfront Park Community Foundation. He is the former president of the board of Swansea Ballet and the Downtown Denver Partnerships Center City Housing Community.

DAVID H. BOOTH

Location: Downtown Denver, CO Position: General Manager, East West Urban Management

RESPONSIBILITIES

David Booth is the General Manager of East West Urban Management. He oversees the day to day operation and management of Riverfront Park, the new East West Partners development in Denver’s Central Platte Valley, adjacent to Lower Downtown Denver (LoDo). Riverfront Park currently consists of 197 residential lofts & condominiums and 32,000 square feet of commercial space in three mixed use buildings developed by East West Partners, 600 apartment residences being built by others in the Riverfront Community and approximately 25 acres of undeveloped land. Once completed, it is estimated Riverfront Park and other adjacent East West Partners development will include a total of 2,500 residences and 250,000 square feet of commercial space.

East West Urban Management runs a full service, on-site, management operation. Services include concierge, long term and corporate rentals, association management and maintenance programs for all owners and residents of Riverfront Park.

BACKGROUND

David has been active in the property management and resort business for over 22 years. He began his career in 1980, managing residential and commercial properties for one of Denver’s premier property management companies. He moved to Aspen in 1993 to run the Aspen Lodging Company then owned by Sand Dollar Management of Hilton Head South Carolina. In 1998, East West Resorts purchased the Aspen Lodging Company and David remained there as General Manager until his move back to Denver in 2001 to manage Riverfront Park.

EDUCATION

David is a graduate of Colorado State University, with a Business Administration degree from the School of Business, with a Finance and Real Estate concentration. He is a licensed real estate broker in the State of Colorado. David holds the Certified Property Manger (CPM®) designation from the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), an affiliate of the National Association of Realtors®

PERSONAL

David, his wife Charmaine and their two daughters Caitlin and Elizabeth reside in the Evergreen Colorado area. David’s outside interests include fly fishing, golf, skiing and music along with being a weekend warrior around the house.

MARK L. SMITH

Location: Downtown Denver, CO Position: Partner

RESPONSIBILITIES

Mark Smith is a founding principal of East West Partners, president and a principal of East West Partners Denver, a principal of Union Station Neighborhood Company, and a principal of Slifer Smith and Frampton.

BACKGROUND

Mark has over 35 years experience in real estate development sales and marketing. He has been part of East West Partners since its inception in 1986.

EDUCATION

A native of Denver, Colorado, Mark holds an undergraduate degree in real estate from Florida International University and a master’s degree in management from Nova University.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Mark is the founder of The Youth Foundation, The Downtown Denver Youth Foundation, The Platte Forum, and The Riverfront Park Community Foundation. Other current board/organizational affiliations include the Denver Convention Center Hotel Authority, Denver Public Schools Foundation, Clyfford Still Museum, Mayor’s Leadership Team on Early Education, Urban Land Conservancy, Colorado Succeeds, Colorado Concern, Colorado Uplift, Colorado Forum, First Western Trust Bank and First Western Financial. Mark has also served as chairman of the Beaver Creek Metropolitan District, the Bravo Colorado Vail Valley Music Festival, the Central Platte Valley Metropolitan District, and as a director of YPO Rocky Mountain Chapter, Colorado Trust Bank, Northern Trust Bank of Colorado, Downtown Denver Inc, Greenway Foundation, South Platte River Commission, University of Colorado Denver Advisory Board, the Spaulding Leadership Institute, the Charter Fund, Vail Resort Association, Beaver Creek Resort Company and the Upper Eagle Valley Chamber of Commerce. Mark was named Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Rocky Mountain Region in 2001 and has been the recipient of numerous other awards. He is a past member and director of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of Young Presidents Organization and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, WPO and Chief Executives Organization.

Mark resides in downtown Denver and in the Vail Valley.


ROBERT KNOUS JR.

Location: Downtown Denver, CO Position: Partner

RESPONSIBILITIES

Bob, who stepped back from his full time duties in 2005, now serves as an adviser to Harry Frampton and the Management Committee on a variety of issues and handles specific projects of interest and importance to the Company’s internal growth and mission.

BACKGROUND

Prior to his association with East West Partners, Bob was President of the Vail Valley Foundation which organized and hosted the 1989 World Alpine Ski Championships and developed the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheatre. The facility is the summer home of the Bolshoi Ballet Academy. He is a past President of Colorado Ski Country USA and served as senior aide to former Colorado Governor, Richard Lamm. At East West Partners, Bob managed a variety of projects including Eagle Ranch, One Breckenridge Place, The Village at Breckenridge, The Reserve at Frisco, Three Peaks, and East West University.

EDUCATION

A 4th generation native of Colorado, Bob holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Colorado and also earned his juris doctorate degree from the University of Denver.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Bob has served on the prestigious Colorado Tourism Board, as a Trustee of the Summit Foundation, President of the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater, a board member of the 1999 World Alpine Ski Championships Organizing Committee, Historic Denver Inc, and First Tee of Denver.

PERSONAL

Bob resides in Denver where he works on special projects for EWP, volunteers, teachers and stays close to his family. His interests include reading, history, golf, skiing, fishing and doing good things with great people.


RYAN STONE

Location: Downtown Denver, CO Position: Development

RESPONSIBILITIES

Ryan is involved in all aspects of East West’s Denver holdings including development and management of existing assets and business development for future opportunities.

BACKGROUND

Ryan joined East West Partner’s in 2013. Prior to joining East West Partners, Ryan held various commercial real estate positions in Denver and Chicago with Archstone Communities, Colorado Business Bank, The Broe Group, US Bank, and GMAC Commercial Mortgage.

EDUCATION

Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Northern Colorado and a Masters of Business Administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

COMMUNITY SERVICE

Ryan enjoys volunteering for Minds Matter of Denver and previously served as the Colorado President of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business alumni association.

PERSONAL

Ryan is a Colorado Native and currently resides in Denver with his wife Suzy and three sons. Ryan’s personal interests include: family, biking, and skiing.
