Is it any wonder Mark Smith was named CEO of the year by Colorado Biz Magazine in 2014? The Colorado native is the visionary behind the redevelopment of Denver’s Union Station, which has been called the city’s most significant project in 100 years. Mark led the design and put together a team to make the redevelopment a reality. He is a founding principal of: East West Partners, East West Partners Denver, Union Station Neighborhood Company, and Slifer Smith & Frampton Real Estate. In addition to his works-in-progress, Mark has applied his Midas touch to some of Colorado’s most iconic developments, including Beaver Creek, Bachelor Gulch, and Riverfront Park.
Mark has also founded a number of nonprofits such as the Youth Foundation, the Riverfront Park Community Foundation, and Platte Forum. He has served on numerous nonprofit boards focused on underserved youth, education, and the arts.
